Our boxes are 100% curbside recyclable and printed with environmentally safe, non-toxic, true water-based inks that contain no hazardous air pollutants. Each box is made from approximately 30-50% recycled material, sourced from local mills in Washington state that prioritize the highest available post-consumer content whenever possible, and certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) in North America.

Pro tip: pay it forward and give your box a second life- consider upcycling your box for crafting or a coloring canvas for the kids.  

Chill Without the Hassle: Meet our gel packs, Cryo Ice™

Instead of using dry ice- which is classified as a Class 9 hazardous material by the Department of Transportation- we ship with Cryo Ice™, a safer, easier-to-handle alternative. Cryo Ice™ gel packs durable, reusable, and not subject to shipping restrictions, so your barbeque stays cold without the red tape.

Want to recycle them? Just snip the corner of the pouch, pour the gel into the trash, and rinse the outer film before recycling it with other #4 plastics.

Or better yet- reuse them! Simply rinse them off, refreeze, and they are good to go- just make sure your freezer holds at 0 °F or below for best results.

Cool Where It Counts, Cotton Where It Matters

Our insulated liners are made primarily from natural cotton fibers- so they break down just like any other plant would; it follows nature’s own cycle: when composted or discarded, it returns to the soil it came from. Tested by an independent third-party lab and certified to meet ASTM compostability standards, these liners are fully biodegradable in just 27 weeks. They’re non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and free of carcinogens. As for the outer polyfilm wrap, that’s a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film, which can be recycled at most local drop-off spots that accept #4 plastics. And the cotton liner itself? It can be recycled with other #60 textiles.

Pro tip: pay it forward by reusing the liners as a weed barrier in the garden, extra insulation in compost bins, or a cozy pet bed (yep- we’ve seen it all- get creative!)

So, whether you compost them, repurpose them, or toss them in the trash, you can rest easy and guilt-free knowing they won’t linger in a landfill forever.

We partner with UPS, FedEx, and USPS to offer the fastest, most affordable shipping rates. During checkout, you can choose the speed that fits your needs- as fast as overnight or next day, or up to 48 hours via ground or air. We Guarantee It Stays Cold

Your order is guaranteed to arrive frozen or partially frozen. Some thawing during transit is normal- and safe. As long as the meat is below 40⁰F when it arrives, you can store it in the fridge and enjoy it within 7 days or pop it into the freezer right away to save for a later date.

Every shipment includes built-in shipping insurance for peace of mind. If your order arrives fully thawed or feels warm to the touch, please reach out to us immediately upon delivery- ideally with a photo and temperature reading. We’ll review your situation and work with you to make it right.

We’re committed to quality and food safety, and we ask that you open and inspect your package as soon as it arrives so we can respond quickly if there’s an issue. Check that the temperature of the meat is below 40⁰F. We recommend keeping a kitchen thermometer handy- here’s our favorite one on Amazon.
